Where should demand forecasting functionally reside in an organization?

I recently noticed this question on LI and I thought this is a very interesting and might concern a lot of people...In the best companies, supply chain management must combine all the information from sales to marketing and finance to get the best forecast possible (through dialogue of course!). I think supply chain is the ideal location for forecasting, but what are your thoughts? share your comments here!See More

Would be interested to learn Lean SCM directly from Mr. Taiichi Ohno's lineage back in Toyota, Nagoya, Japan pls? Ours is an advanced professional and academic degree. We don't have those animations online but we would do our best to meet your requirements to help you achieve what you want. Part of this program called eM LeanSCM needs you to do a Capstone Project which needs you to spend 5 days in Toyota, Nagoya to learn directly from the Sensei. Is that something up that you are looking for pls?
