There is so much discussion these says about the recent shift by Chinese manufacturers to focus more on regional cities instead of the traditional east coast ports. Workers are not returning to factories in the major port cities choosing instead to remain in their hometowns where manufacturing is starting to boom and salaries matching those achievable elsewhere in China. The terminal strike action that threatened to delay vessels by 7 days in Melbourne has been cancelled but remains a threat for Sydney, Brisbane and Fremantle.
